As a "second local sake" along with Awamori, we aim to be an IMUGE. That is loved and supported by Okinawans and sake lovers nationwide.
Through IMUGE., We will strive to contribute to the revitalization of the local primary industry, the secondary industry, and the local economy as a whole.
IMUGE. Future efforts
IMUGE.'S raw materials, sweet potato and brown sugar, are limited to those produced in Okinawa Prefecture. In order to increase the production of sweet potatoes produced in Okinawa Prefecture for sake brewing, breeding and soil improvement as measures against pests and typhoon damage.
We will work to expand the planted area through mechanization and scale-up, and carry out crop rotation to improve the quality of agricultural products, and strive to expand the use of brown sugar produced in Okinawa Prefecture.
IMUGE as a genre. In order to expand production, we will work on technology provision and engineer exchange beyond the boundaries of each warehouse, and proceed with research and development for quality improvement.
IIMUGE. Is a sake that has an infinite variety of aromas and tastes by changing the three elements of "jiuqu", "sweet potato", and "brown sugar". In the future, we will manufacture unique IMUGE. For each brewery on each island to meet the diverse tastes of consumers.
IMUGE. Development history
Aiming for the revival of Imge, Seifuku Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., Tarakawa Co., Ltd., Kumejima's Kumesen Awamori Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. and Okinawa Industrial Technology Center have been conducting joint research since 2016. start.
Obtained a manufacturing license as spirits from the National Tax Agency in April 2018, and started trial sales in October of the same year.
In the second year of Reiwa (2020), we are working toward a total production of about 70,000 (720 ml) for each company.
